Augusta isn’t just a beautiful place—it’s a vibrant community.
M. Austin Jackson and our team of attorneys, many of us lifelong Augusta residents, share a profound love and admiration for our Augusta neighbors. We’re dedicated to being active, engaged members of our community, and we show up and give back however we can to make a positive impact.
There’s a special place in Austin Jackson’s heart for local initiatives that empower youth and foster educational excellence.
He’s co-founder of Aviation Academy through Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta, which introduces kids to the joys of aviation and the promise of aviation-related careers. He’s also a sponsor and committee member for the Apparo Academy, a specialized early intervention and education program that helps kids flourish.
When the community needs us, we’re honored to answer the call, whether that means representing our injured neighbors or championing an important cause so everyone in our community can thrive.
Austin Jackson has a lifelong love of flying. He grew up flying with his dad, and he wants to give kids in the Aiken-Augusta community that same opportunity, fostering their curiosity and passion for aviation.
In 2023, M. Austin Jackson teamed up with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta to co-found the Aviation Academy. This six-week program offers valuable educational opportunities and exciting experiences for youth interested in aviation.
The program, which includes classroom instruction and hands-on activities at Augusta-area airports, exposes students to career paths in the aviation industry that bring value to the whole community.
The Aviation Academy has logged two successful sessions, with plans to expand the program to include a scholarship component and get more kids in the Augusta area involved!
“My experience has been really good. We went over the Savannah River, we landed, took back off, and then we landed again. I would recommend everybody do aviation because flying is interesting and there are other jobs in aviation you can do.”
–Cortez, Aviation Academy Student
“Working with the Aviation Academy has been a huge success for the Boys & Girls Club and the Greater Augusta community. Our kids have never experienced anything within the aviation industry. We started this program to get them more involved for a potential career.”
–Felipe Blanding, Senior Director, Teen Innovation & Workforce Readiness
Apparo Academy is a non-profit, faith-based school that helps Augusta children and their families reach their full potential. It’s designed to provide children ages six weeks through kindergarten with therapeutic education in a one-of-a-kind, inclusive, and integrated setting.
Austin supports Apparo Academy’s annual fundraising each year, helping the school reach more families in the Aiken-Augusta area. You’ll regularly see Austin alongside other Apparo Academy volunteers assembling furniture at the school or helping organize the program’s annual golf tournament.
Austin joined WRDW’s Morning Mix to explain how the Aviation Academy came to life and how the program introduces kids to the world of aviation.
Watch Austin’s interview with FOX54 News Now, where he breaks down the Aviation Academy and discusses the future of the program and aviation.
